If you have problems with your hips and/or lower back when you sit on the floor, then this should help you:-
Find or make a small cushion, preferably round.
Sit on this cushion, and it will raise yout hips slightly, allowing your knees to rest at a lower level. This should enable you to sit comfortably on the floor for longer periods, without pain or discomfort.
It will also help straighten your back, and thereby improve the quality of your breathing.
