To help ease the strain on your wrists whilst in the Purvottasana, or Plane posture, try placing your hands in different positions.
With your palms flat on the floor, try pointing your fingers away from your body, or towards your body, or out to the side. Experiment with these hand positions to find the most comfortable one for you.
