To help you improve the Badrasana (Butterfly) posture, sit with your knees as far apart of comfortable, and with the soles of your feet together. Keep the outside edges of your feet and your little toes together. Now try to open the soles by moving the inside edges of your feet apart.

This will help to lower your knees towards the floor, without exerting undue pressure on the inner thighs.
